Blog Work Your Style

We persuaded committed Londoner Glenda to shoot street stalker on location in the sleepy village of Hurstpierpoint. Before the shoot, we headed to Lustig & Webb Salon de Coiffeur where Glenda got the Bugatti of blow-drys and the giggles during our Q&A.

We defy anyone not to fall in love with her chic style and super warm wit.

1. Glenda, (fill in the blanks) If I could wake up anywhere it would be….Vegas, I love Vegas. Selfridges Shoe Galleries comes a close second!

2. Favourite time of year? Summer, as who doesn’t love the sunshine but also winter as I prefer the clothes. So a sunny winters day is perfect.

3. Takeaway or tasting platter? I’m a big foodie so tasting platter to fuel my foodie-ness and takeaway to fuel any hangover.

4. Best thing about London? Everything, to quote Samuel Johnson “When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life.” (apart from the tubes in summer. Sans AC no bueno!)

5. And the worst? See number 4.

6. Favourite piece in your closet? I don’t have one, is that bad?  I have a lot of pieces that I like but nothing that stands out as a fave. I’m sticking with the “Sophie’s choice” answer. I just can’t choose.

7. Tell us a secret? If I tell you I would have to kill you so no comment.

8. Favourite trends for A/W14? Suede knee high boots and big blanket coats.

9. Designer you’re coveting? OSMAN great British designer. S/S15 was incredible. Beautiful shapes and colours. If you are reading this Osman then I would like to have the backless blue and white jumpsuit please!  Merci.

10. Describe your style in 5 words… Luxeonomy at its very best.

Blog Nicky Inside Out
Meet Italian born Londoner Nicole. We caught up with her in Notting hill and fell quickly in love with her infectious personality and deadpan wit.
Here, Nicole talks prints, pointy loafers and the omnipresent Philo factor…
1.  Nicole, (fill in the blanks) If I were a shoe…. I’d be an Adidas Stan Smith because if you wear it with a black dress it seems so out of place and yet I find it so perfect.
2. Favourite city? London for the fashion, Amsterdam for the vibe, Italy for the friendly atmosphere …and the food! During summer we visited Siena. I loved the medieval cityscape and hearing the stories of the Palio told by the restaurant owner while having dinner. There is history behind every corner and people love to share stories. You don’t get that in London!
3. Picnic or posh nosh? Posh nosh, but I’ll surprise you when I show up wearing trainers!
4. Leopard or Python print? I am an animal print lover! Lately I’ve been wearing more leopard print but maybe I would choose the python …I find it more sophisticated.
5. Best thing about Winter? Leather and coats!
6. And the worst? Too cold to sit outside in restaurants.
7. Your best fashion memory? I should say when I purchased my first designer bag!! But instead, it was meeting other fashion bloggers, who I now call great friends! I love sharing my passion with them … plus they’re the coolest girls ever!
8. Favourite trend for A/W14? Let me see ..where to begin?! I usually love to try new trends and incorporate them into a wearable outfit. I take my influence from the catwalk. This has always been my thing. For this season, I will definitely go for robe coats and a lot of knitwear, top to bottom. I’ll be wearing a lot of loafers and as always white trainers. Midi skirts with oversized jumpers and a lots of denim and animal prints.
9. Designer you’re coveting? Phoebe Philo – In Stan smith and a turtle neck. Totally inspiring, effortless and cool!

10. Describe the season in five words… Knitted Everything, Oversized, Turtle Necks, Pointy Loafers, Robe coats.
